Polaroid Pogo/Zink Photo Paper Tips?
I recently bought a Polaroid Pogo and wanted to know if there were any tips to help improve image quality before or after printing. I know the printer is more of a toy, but I would recommend this for anyone and it's very FUN! I just wanted to know if the photos would come out better if I left it in the sunlight or something like that. Thank You!
The Zinc printing system actually has the dyes in the paper itself. You've probably noticed that you haven't had to change the ink cartridge. The printer uses heat to "bring out" the colors. So placing the photos in the sun would not be a good thing.
The reason why the Zinc printers are not very popular is that they tend to start to fade in under a year, even when left in a dark and cool place. It's more of a novelty, or if you want to think of it as such, a temporary piece of art much like an ice sculpture.
I haven't read anywhere that you can actually stop this process.
